Raises During COVID

While our children are struggling during the pandemic, taxes increase yearly, we fail to meet state standards of growth and board approval of bonds and loans add to our growing $100 million debt - the administration give themselves raises and bonuses.

· In the midst of the pandemic, the Board passed the 2020-2021 budget that included a 2.6% tax increase.

o The budget included additional compensation for our administrators and business manager (Art McDonnell).

o These payments to administrators added $142K to the District's 2020-21 budget.

o The Board voted unanimously for the administration’s raises and bonuses.

Superintendent Salary

Please review the Superintendent’s contract. Taxpayers are paying for his judgement. The Board must hold him accountable.

Superintendent Performance Criteria

https://www.tesd.net/Page/13970

"The Tredyffrin/Easttown Board of School Directors is pleased to announce that our superintendent, Dr. Richard Gusick, has successfully met or exceeded each of his agreed upon goals and objectives for the 2019-2020 school year.”

The Board adopted, as the required objective performance standards for the Superintendent, the 2020-2021 School District Goals scheduled to be adopted during the September 29, 2020 meeting. "

TESD did not meet state standards for growth in English/Language Arts in 7 out of the 8 schools. Was that measure included in our Superintendent’s evaluation? How was he able to meet or exceed Board expectations?
