District Compliance Concerns

In compliance with State and Federal laws, the Tredyffrin Easttown Board of School Directors establishes policies by which TESD schools are governed. The Superintendent of Schools, with Board input, establishes the accompanying regulations that specify how the policies will be enforced.

Suppression of Community Voices

· Changes to TESD Policy/Regulation 1131 suppressed parent and community voices in engagement with District.

o Partner organizations are no longer able to speak to the Board collectively on curricular, financial or policy issues.

o Members of the organizations are able to speak only as individuals on their own behalf.

o Partner organizations are no longer able to share information and resources directly with teachers and staff without first getting approvals from the administration.
